Lieutenant Ken Blandenburg

E911 Director

Ken joined the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in 2010 as a Jail Officer. In 2014, Ken graduated Basic Mandate and was transferred to Field Operations. He became a School Resource Office in 2015 and served as one for 6 and a half years. During his time as a School Resource Officer, Ken obtained his certification as a CHAMPS instructor and was promoted to Sergeant in 2017. In 2021, he was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the Jail Division. In 2023 he was reassigned to E911.Lt. Blandenburg oversees day-to-day operations of the E911 center

E911 Deputy Director

Junika joined Monroe County Sheriffs Office in May 2001 as a Radio Dispatch Operator.  She attended Basic Communications School and became a certified dispatcher within the same year.  She later became a shift leader where she continued to thrive and advance on the job and through training classes.  In 2020, she was promoted to a shift supervisor.  She attended Supervision I, II, and III  and took on many leadership roles and tasks.  March 2023  Junika was promoted to E911 Deputy Director.  She is responsible for assisting with the supervision of communication officers and oversight of the E911 center tasks such as personnel matters, evaluations, and monitoring the computer systems within the 911 center.
