Food Services

Three meals are served daily. Each meal is prepared, transported and served by persons and under conditions approved by the County Health Department. Menus will be certified to contain minimum daily adult requirements.

Health and Medical Services are provided by medically trained personnel under the authority and direction of "CORRECTHEALTH". All medications will be prescribed or approved by the licensed facility physician.

Inmates will be allowed to purchase approved/permitted items and snacks from McDaniel's Supply Company. All purchases are deducted from the inmates commissary account, which is maintained by the Detention Center, provided that the inmate has funds in his/her account at the time the order is processed.

​

If an inmate placed a commissary order and is released prior to it being received, he/she or a designated family member will have five (5) days to pick up the order. If the order is not picked up within the time frame, it will be destroyed.

​

Money in the form of cash, money order, or certified check that an inmate has in their possession when brought into the booking area, will be credited to that inmate's commissary account.

​

Any person wishing to make a deposit into an inmate's account may do so by visiting the Detention Center to deposit cash into the Jail ATM kiosk located in the front lobby. You may also use the link provided to make deposit's online using your credit or debit card.

***NO COMMISSARY ITEMS FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THE HOUSING AREA OF THE MONROE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.***

All monies remaining on an inmates books at the time of release, will be added to a debit card issued by the jail.

Inmates shall have an opportunity to express religious affiliations and beliefs and attend voluntary worship services conducted within the facility. Religious services are conducted one to two times a week so that each inmate will have the opportunity to attend. Inmates are expected to recognize and respect the religious preferences of others.

The inmate must fill out a property release form which is provided by the deputy inside the housing unit. Once this form is completed, the specified person is allowed to come retrieve all items inside the inmate personal property with the exception of clothing items. Pick up times are Monday through Friday (with the exceptions of holidays) 9:30am to 5:30pm. The recipient of the property must provide a valid photo issued by the government.
