The Medical Association of Georgia uses the same standards set forth by NCCHC to accredited jails that provide medical services to inmates. MAG conducts an on-site survey at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Jail to evaluate the Jail’s compliance with the health care standards.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has maintained accreditation for its medical services since 1979.
